A Data-Driven Approach to Cell Site Development
At WRA, everything starts with data.
Rather than relying on guesswork or high-volume submissions, we use a ground-up, data-first approach to identify underserved areas where coverage is truly needed. We begin by analyzing where cell phone users, municipalities, and first responders report poor coverage: the real “dead zones.” We then compare these areas to our proprietary database of existing tower locations.
From there, we dig into parcel data, zoning rules, floodplain risks, and other critical factors to assess build viability. By doing this work upfront, we make it easier for wireless carriers to deploy infrastructure where it matters most.
While many developers submit thousands of unvetted sites and wait for carriers to choose, we take the opposite approach. We analyze thousands of locations before presenting a single, high-quality candidate. Quality over quantity is our standard.
Today, we have more than 100,000 end-user coverage complaints mapped. Our focus is especially strong in rural markets, where the digital divide is widest and wireless broadband is urgently needed.
We are one of the only tower developers using this kind of end-user survey and data-first methodology. And we’re just getting started.
